Description

The Geosyn Seismic & Tsunami Realtime Station sets a new standard for real-time monitoring of seismic and tsunami events at the sea floor. This sophisticated system offers a comprehensive solution, seamlessly recording and transmitting crucial data for near real-time analysis.

Sea floor observations are transferred to a surface buoy via a reliable cable connection. From the buoy, the data is transmitted to a central recording station, making it accessible in near real time. This setup allows for continuous monitoring and analysis, providing valuable insights into seismic and tsunami activities.

One of the notable features of the Geosyn Realtime Station is its economic efficiency. The system could be easily modified to accommodate satellite communication by adjusting the number of transmitted channels, offering flexibility and scalability to meet specific project requirements.

What makes it special?

The GeoSyn Seismic & Tsunami Realtime Station is a robust construction that addresses the limitations of traditional monitoring systems by offering simultaneous recording and real-time transmission of seismic and tsunami events at the sea floor. The system's economic design makes it affordable also for academic applications.
